Our concert was on Saturday 23rd March at 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall of Merchiston Castle School.
The music featured Misa Criolla by Ariel Ramirez which has Latin American rhythms and was sung in Spanish There was also a set of Folk Tunes by John Rutter called The Sprig of Thyme. These 11 well known tunes were fun to sing.
Reviews
What a wonderful concert ! I had never heard Ariel Ramirez’ Misa Criolla before but I would love to hear it again. The choir had extra percussionists who took part and the whole piece was so good.
Then the conductor became one of the singers in John Rutter’s ‘The Sprig of Thyme’.
An evening of lovely music.

Thanks, Lesley,
A great concert which I enjoyed singing and friends much enjoyed listening to. Proud to be part of such a good choir. Roll on the summer programme.
